Interim Managerial team appointed: It's worse than you think

In much quicker fashion than they announced Philippe Clements sacking, Rangers have today confirmed an interim managerial team has been appointed to take charge until the end of the season.
This board want to make it clear that they really don't know what they're doing. So they've gone for Barry Ferguson as head coach, supported by a coaching team of Issame Charai, Neil McCann, Billy Dodds and Allan McGregor.
We obviously needed to act fast with the dismissal of Clement happening yesterday and a game against Kilmarnock on Wednesday. But I have to say the board have outdone themselves here.
I want to preface this point by saying that Barry Ferguson the player is an entirely different prospect from Barry Ferguson the manager.
We have appointed someone who struggled to manage at League one level in Scotland and hasn't had a managerial appointment (not by choice) since February 2022. Interim charge or not this reeks of a decision to appease some sections of the support who will be desperate to see a "Rangers man" in the post. Quite simply, it's not a good enough appointment for one game, let alone 3 months worth of fixtures.
If you looked at those managerial stats in isolation I don't think there's a single Rangers fan who would take someone with that record as interim coach, or even as the new kit man.
The only saving grace for this set of appointments is the presence of Neil McCann in the coaching team. Who has at the very least shown some tactical promise and also a willingness to give minutes to young players in his managerial roles. But I am really clutching at straws to find something worth shouting about.
It's unclear if Allan McGregor actually has any coaching badges or has been made the goalkeeper coach by virtue of being a very good goalkeeper for Rangers? I've got a funny feeling it's the latter, being mates with Barry Ferguson was probably the only thing he had on his coaching CV.
Billy Dodds to his credit has a wide range of coaching experience, virtually none of it at the top level mind, but better than just plucking a random guy off the street to join the staff.
Make no mistake, the season is already a write-off thanks to the inaction of the board and Philippe Clements ineptitude. But for me this appointment is one final slap in the face to fans who spend their hard earned money to watch Rangers play every week.
I desperately hope I can be proven wrong, I'd love to see the season out in relative bliss with an okay record. But I can only see this season properly fizzling out with humiliation at the hands of Fenerbahce, Celtic and basically anyone whose manager fancies adding a win against Rangers to their record.
