Rangers 4-0 Aberdeen: Business-like

Afternoon everyone, apologies for the lateness of the blog today. Unfortunately my actual work got in the way. Outrageous.
Rangers surprised us all with a 4 goal display against the Dons yesterday. 4 different scorers too.
The first half was essentially more of what we've become used to this season. It was stale attacking play, no penetration with alot of our play breaking down when it reached the final third.
Diomande was doing his best to get things going. At one point he picked up the ball on the right, exchanged passes with Raskin, came inside, played the ball out to the left, promptly collected the ball and crossed it for Dessers whose effort skewed wide. The creative burden we put on him is insane.
It shouldn't be all his responsibility though, we actually have a multi million pound Albanian who played the first half. "Played" is generous, participated? Existed? Both would be more apt for Nedim Bajrami. It's so disappointing to see someone who clearly has the technical ability to succeed in this league wander about the pitch and act like a net negative to the team.
Even that Albanian Football twitter account has turned on him recently, that's when you know you've been bad. He's at the top of the list for players to move on in the summer, that's for certain.
Thankfully the atrocious Albanian was hooked at the break and we started to play with 11 men.
The goals followed swiftly after. I won't go into too much detail on the strikers but Raskin was crucial to the opening goals with his pass setting Cerny free for the opener and then his driving run and cutback finding Dessers for a tap in.
Igamane was introduced and made his presence felt with a fantastic volleyed finish. There was time for Jefte to get in on the act by diverting a Cerny shot into the opposition net unintentionally.
Truthfully it was a good second half performance, Aberdeen didn't look like the team we played at Pittodrie and we took advantage of that.
However the emptiness in the stands tells its own story. The fans can't wait for the season to be over. I find myself in the same boat. Look out for my season review following next week's game, it won't be pretty.
Have a good week everyone and let's look forward to the good times ahead.
