Hearts Vs Rangers preview: Apathy

Morning everyone, Rangers take on Hearts at Tynecastle today and I regret to inform you that Philippe Clement is still Rangers manager.
We had the usual run of WhatsApp and FollowFollow rumours on Monday morning. Almost beside the point that he should have been sacked immediately after the game on Sunday. Once that flurry of rumours subsided though, Rangers fans began to accept that we are trapped for a bit longer.
Patrick Stewart told us the other day that the decision to keep Clement isn't financially motivated. That's really worrying, it implies that the people in charge of footballing operations have watched the recent performances and thought they were acceptable. I think in his efforts to talk up our financial status, Stewart has made himself and the Board look even worse.
It's very conceivable that we could drop more points today aswell. Hearts have had good underlying numbers for a while now, and it seems like they are finally clicking into gear. Meanwhile we are atrocious away from home domestically and have been all season.
When I think about today's game properly I really dread what Rangers we will see. Although my general state of mind is that I find it hard to be invested in this Rangers team at all. At the end of the day the Board have shown in recent weeks that they aren't interested in maintaining the playing standards of the club. The incumbent manager has been slowly approaching full blown lunacy in his interviews. And the final nail in the coffin is that underneath it all, the playing style is atrocious and massively inconsistent.
I'll tune into the game today to watch us meander through. I'm not looking forward to it, I don't imagine many are. Just try not to let it ruin your Sunday people, have a good one.
