Hibs Vs Rangers: The end is nigh

Morning everyone, on a truly glorious day weatherwise in Glasgow. I don't know what the weather is in Edinburgh but I assume it's going to be similar.
Rangers travel to Easter Road for the end of this long, drawn out and frankly tedious season. The writing has been on the wall since January that not only would we win nothing, but nothing was going to change.
That may be true for this season, but what's come to light since then is that we will see big changes in the summer, throughout the club.
The takeover represents a chance for the club to turn over a new leaf and right the wrongs of the previous regime. We don't know who the next manager will be, especially after reports seem to suggest Davide Ancelotti doesn't have the stomach for the job and would rather remain as an assistant to his dad.
What we absolutely do know, is that the next manager won't be the one in the dugout for today's game. The Barry Ferguson interim experiment has been a failure, he was keen to point out in his opening remarks that his biggest goal was to improve performances and find consistency in league fixtures.
I think it's fair to say that if anything, we are even less consistent now than before. Big away wins like Celtic or the last gasp turnaround at Dundee were sandwiched between meek, embarrassing defeats to Motherwell and Hibs at home.
Barry ending the season with two home wins in a row feels silly, very much locking the stable door after the horse has bolted, given he presided over a 5 game winless run at Ibrox.
I'll write in more detail when I start to sum up the season, but I say all that to point out that I am not feeling optimistic about our trip to Easter road. They are the most in-form team in the league and I really don't think the last 2 wins give us any indication of what team will turn up today.
There's no point harping on about rotation and young players, he won't do that. I expect the same lineup as Wednesday and we will just see how we get on.
Hibs will be fired up and looking to see out a very respectable season that's culminated in a 3rd place finish with 2 wins in a row over this terrible Rangers team.
If you are going to Edinburgh for the game today, take your time to enjoy some of the sights in the old town, maybe skip going to Leith and Easter Road entirely, you won't miss much.
In all seriousness it's been a pleasure to follow Rangers along this season and broadcast my thoughts here. Despite the depressing form I've enjoyed interacting with every reader and I appreciate everyone that's clicked retweet or left a reply.
Let's try and enjoy the game and remember, after this, no more Rangers for atleast a few weeks!
