Rangers Vs St Johnstone preview: Purgatory

Morning all, Rangers take on St Johnstone at Ibrox today. And unfortunately, it will be with Philippe Clement in charge.
Our glorious leader, Patrick Stewart, gave an interview yesterday highlighting that the club will continue to back Clement. Although football is "results-based" so there will need to be some improvement.
This news is fairly disheartening and really makes me worry for the rest of the season. The apathy from supporters is already at a real high. To say Clement has lost the backing of the majority of fans is an understatement, the atmosphere on Thursday was toxic by the end.
There's also a protest planned today by the Union Bears. Walking out of the stadium on the 55th minute. It will be interesting to see how many join them. I imagine if it's we aren't winning by that stage there could be plenty departing early.
The CEO also stated that there will be a review taking place of the club over the next 3 months. Including bringing in externals to review club processes. Hopefully that's the start of changing the structural issues at the club.
In transfer news we were linked with bringing in a young defender in on loan from Burnley. Hjalmar Ekdal, a Swedish centre back whose been in and out of the team. He's 26 and highly rated by the club. The obvious concern with this is that he missed almost the entirety of last season with two separate injuries. Given our record at the moment, I'm not sure signing a defender recovering from big injuries to cover for injured defenders is a recipe for success. I've not watched much of him, but I'll find out more if links continue to materialise.
As for today's game, honestly quite hard to picture any major changes to the team. I feel like it could be a good chance for Oscar Cortes to come in, if Hagi isn't fit. Maybe drop Bajrami for Danilo and try and get on the front foot? Who knows what is on Clements mind.
Everyone try and enjoy the game anyway. If you are taking part in the protest then fair play to you for agreeing to watch 55 minutes of this Rangers team.
